Do i need to fertilize my bonsai tree ?

Do I have to fertilize my bonsai tree? I have a dwarf ficus bonsai. If so would it be okay to use miracle grow which is what the store owner gave me? He said to use 1/2 teaspoon to one gallon and use it every 2-4 weeks during april-september does this sound good ?|||That sounds good to me........bonsai should be treated just like their "big brothers", so you would fertilize just like a full size ficus, during their growing season, but not when they go dormant.
